Within the framework of the successful joint cooperation between the Arab Institute of Navigation (AIN) and the German Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Institute organized a distinguished and fruitful workshop titled: “Environmental Challenges, Fisheries Governance, and Institutional Responses in Northern Egypt.”

The workshop, held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza Hotel, witnessed an exceptional and high-level turnout of experts and specialists. We were honored by the participation of representatives from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), the Ministry of Environment, the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), and the National Navigation Company (affiliated with the Ministry of Transport).

The event featured rich discussions and constructive engagement among attendees, resulting in significant insights and recommendations to enhance environmental sustainability and resource management in Northern Egypt—reflecting the workshop’s great success in achieving its strategic goals.
